About Dr. Chew Wei Dee
Current Role
Dr. Chew Wei Dee currently holds the esteemed position of the founder of Nova Clinic Sdn Bhd. As the visionary behind Nova Clinic, he has set out to establish a healthcare institution that caters to a wide range of medical needs, from general healthcare services to comprehensive occupational health solutions.Education
Dr. Chew Wei Dee’s educational journey laid a solid foundation for his medical career. In 2014, he graduated from Universiti Malaysia Sabah with a Medical Degree (MD). This marked the beginning of his journey into the medical field.Professional Experience
- Dr. Chew Wei Dee began his career as a House Officer at Hospital Queen Elizabeth in Sabah, where he dedicated two years to learning and practicing in a hospital setting.
- Following this, he took on the role of a Medical Officer at Hospital Kota Tinggi, where he continued to hone his medical skills. His tenure at Hospital Kota Tinggi spanned two years, from November 2017 to June 2019.
- In 2019, he transitioned into the role of a General Practitioner at Clinic Lee and Surgery in Bukit Indah, gaining valuable experience in primary care and outpatient services.
- Amid the challenging era of the Covid-19 pandemic, Dr. Chew Wei Dee contributed significantly by serving as a medical officer at BP healthcare @ Seri Kembangan from June 2020 to June 2023, showcasing his dedication to public health during a critical time.
Specialization in Occupational Medicine
Dr. Chew Wei Dee’s expertise extends into the field of occupational medicine. His commitment to promoting workplace health and safety is evident through his accomplishments, which include:- Registration as an Occupational Health Doctor (OHD) with the Department of Occupational Safety and Health Malaysia, reflecting his official recognition as a specialist in occupational health.
- Offering a range of services in occupational medicine, including medical surveillance, DOSH audiometric programs, confined space medical examinations, fitness for work assessments, and return to work assessments.
- Qualification as a Medical Review Officer (MRO) for drug-free workplace programs, underlining his dedication to ensuring safe and drug-free work environments.
- Certification as an Ergonomic Trained Person (ETP) by the Human Factors And Ergonomics Society Malaysia, enabling him to conduct both initial and advanced ergonomic risk assessments.
- Approval as a medical examiner by the Malaysia Marine Department, authorizing him to perform medical examinations for seafarers and contribute to maritime safety.

- Medical Degree from University Malaysia Sabah, MD (UMS).
- Occupational Health Doctor Certificate from the National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health, OHD (NIOSH).
